Following the Lonsdale District Carers AGM in February it was decided that due the several factors the organisation could not continue beyond March 2012. Lonsdale Carers and One Voice management teams have been holding joint meetings from November 2011 and following these discussions it was agreed that One Voice would take over the running of services that needed continued delivery and from April 2012.
One Voice has always supported carers, both in their mission statement and via referrals from Lonsdale Carers within the Lancaster District and has worked in partnership with Lonsdale Carers for the past 5 years sharing space and other resources.
One Voice will be delivering the following services to carers:
Form filing Carers benefits: Allowance and Attendance Allowance.
Self-directed support, help with applying for and managing personal budgets.
Groups: Bereavement and Chat and Relax.
Counselling and Complementary therapies.
Housing.
